BioThe legendary World Warrior Champion, Ryu. He is regarded as perhaps the most highly skilled fighter on the globe, having defeated the longtime previous Champion Sagat with a Dragon Punch so fierce it scarred his chest.
Ryu has fought over a thousand opponents, and seeks to constantly better himself. He doesn't care for winning or losing. In his words, "The fight is all".
He is a master of Gouken's Ansatsuken, a very dangerous and highly lethal art formed from a blend of four other martial arts styles. His best friend and training partner Ken Masters learned alongside with Ryu from Gouken.
Ryu wanders the globe, perfecting his style of fighting, and is always on the lookout for the next challenge.
